The beta version of LEVEL MUSIC is complete. It includes 9 volumes with 5 tracks each.
After this, I plan to rearrange the existing tracks into STAGE > LEVEL format, and add supplemental tracks to fit the new organization. This will include:
-More Level Themes
-Boss Themes
-Menu Themes
-Fanfares
-Anything else I see fit
But for now,

This is epic, man. So glad to see that you've finished your original goal of 9 "mini-albums," and are going to shoot for more. If this becomes a game, I know I'm playing it all the way through, because I'm a sucker for really creative level design and environment choices (the main reason I was drawn to the original 4 Sonic games on Genesis).
ReplyDeleteMusic is a huge influence on the feeling of atmosphere I get out of a level, and yours is top-notch in that regard. The variety and dynamics in your compositions are great, and yet your style persists and remains distinct throughout. Keep on keeping on! =P
Great to hear from you! Thanks so much for the kind words, it means a lot! And yeah, I'm probably gonna be super anal about the level design when that time comes, so hopefully we can both expect something good out of it!
ReplyDeleteHi. There's a problem with the torrent: the piratebay tracker unavailable.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can use trackers like http://openbittorrent.com/ and http://publicbt.com/ ?
Thanks,
Tom
Amazing style, amazing music. Good luck on getting the best possible game for it.
ReplyDeleteGood luck as in if you're going for a true oldschool goodgame it's likely gonna be way harder than it should.
(im one of those who thinks nearly everything sucks nowadays)
Amazing work. Your tracks are beautiful and I can't stop listen to these.
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad the Setzers SPC soundfont never got fully complete or there would've been a lot more to work with then a bunch of little soundfonts that are not designed for GM playback.
ReplyDeleteI'll check out your music. :) Sounds fun!
I am not sure if anybody realizes it but the little SNES the instruments are all out of order if you try to play them for midi playback.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your informative blog! I'm looking for the fastest software which I can use to download music videos and movies. Can anyone give me an idea what kind of software should I purchase?
